You will enjoy a beautiful catamaran ride through the Sil canyons.
If your Camino de Santiago organized either on foot or by bike ends in the city of Santiago de Compostela you can make day trips from Santiago de Compostela to the surrounding area. This way you have the option to enjoy an extra day in the area and explore Galicia in all its splendor. You will simply have to ask us for an additional night in Santiago to be able to do some of the most interesting tours that we propose below:
We will begin with a guided tour of Castro Caldelas, considered one of the most beautiful villages in all of Spain. We will explore its historic center, declared a Historic-Artistic Ensemble, and the walls of the medieval fortress of the Counts of Lemos. We will also have free time to recharge at one of the local restaurants before continuing the tour.
Departure from the Sto Esteve pier, from where we will travel along the Sil River, offering an unparalleled perspective that allows us to discover the most inaccessible vineyards in the area. For 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will navigate between the steep walls of the river canyons.
Located in Parada do Sil. Here stands a spectacular granite massif over 700 meters in altitude, plunging vertically into the river with a drop of over 400 meters.
We will observe a set of anthropomorphic tombs, the facade of the 19th-century church, its bell tower, and the San Benito fountain, which our ancestors said had miraculous waters.
One of the most charming villages in Galicia, located in a Biosphere Reserve. Its squares, monuments, and churches await the pilgrim.
Arrival in Santiago de Compostela marks the end of the tour.
